View Full Version : What is a 'Rock Anchor' called in Spanish?
I have had a workman round this evening to give me a quote and I came up with an idea but I could not get him to understand even with all my hand gestures, so could someone tell me the the spanish name for a rock anchour fixing.

not sure you mean Rock Anchor anyway, do you mean an Anchor Bolt ?
a rock anchor is a steel bar with a large plate on end which holds together groundwork during excavations or rough rock/boulder walls.
An anchor bolt (ancle cerrojo or ancle barra) is fixed into concrete which will support heavy weights when something is fixed to it

You are quite correct I was trying to describe an anchor bolt the workman is back today so I have the name now brilliant
