Haar - Sea Mist.
It's very eerie when you sail into it, the tempreture takes a sudden drop and you lose all sense of direction, all you seem to hear is the ships horns surrounding you.

This is actually phrase for sea mist on the North Sea "On the east coast of Scotland sea fog is known locally as haar or North Sea Haar, and it is often said to plague local residents during the Summer." Just saying like:whistle:

OK the word Haar does originate from the North East of Scotland, but long before the sea on the East Coast was known as the North Sea, it originates from when it was known as the German Ocean or Oceanus Germanicus, Plus, what do you know about it...your a landlubber, unlike me whose roots originate from the coastal towns of Aberdeenshire, true seaman!!...Just Saying Like.

It well may be a lovely sunny day in Forfar as it is here in Ayrshire, but you certainly have placed a cloud over it by what you have said, as It makes matters worse now that you admit that you had the intention of donating money, don't make excuses about the amount, it's the whole principle of parting with money that is the issue.....you really are becoming thoughtless as the years go past, and you have certainly spoiled the reputation of the Scottish people!!:D

Pleasant here in South Warwickshire have already taken the dogs for a pleasant walk alongside the river in the gardens. We have some geese nesting on the Island again this year and remarkably I found an unopened tin of Asda tuna in brine which must have been washed downstream. This is much better than the usual dead sheep.
